The first second-hand pharmacy in Greece will be inaugurated Thursday afternoon, dozens of retirees from all over the country are already reserving a place in line for drugs and pills at ridicules prices. The most desired include Haemorrhoid Treatments, contraceptives and buffered aspirin, all of Western origin.

 

 According to pharmacists, the meds are not older than seven years, and although all tubes or sheets are partially consumed, clients will not be disappointed with the quality and quantity.

The second-hand pharmacy advantage is that all medicines are placed in open shelves, so they can be obtained without prescription. Districts for children''s medicines will be released, but only in the presence of an adult.


Pharmacy representatives said they expect a rush of people on the first day of opening, so they hired some bodyguards to preserve public order and avoid unpleasant incidents. "We don''t want to repeat past incidents, where many elderly people were trampled, " said one security guard who will secure order in the pharmacy on opening day.
